Gaylord Area Trail Report – Pine Cone Accommodations – 01/20

Many families enjoyed the trails last weekend and we’ve gotten more snow this week.  Great time!   Fair to good conditions for the weekend.

Latest report from Gaylord Area Snowmobile Trails Council (1/20):

Gaylord has just been put under a ‘LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING’ for 5 pm Thursday night through 5 pm Friday night, possible 6 – 10 inches of new snow, with blowing and drifting conditions. Trails are now ‘Fair to Good’ depending on the area. This new snow should improve the trails even more. Gaylord did receive around 4 – 5 inches of new snow from Monday nights storm. Very cold temps will be in the area the rest of the week!

Hi all! Thursday! Almost the weekend! Trails are actually pretty darn good right now even though we don’t have a terririfc base going. Groomers were out last night and will be again tomorrow, and more good news is that we are under a Lake Effect advisory right thru Friday! Forecast says we could see 3-6", but with winds and blowing and drifting. I’ll let ya know tomorrow what actually comes down! Brrrr! Cold temps, down near zero ar night and only low teens for a high for few couple days so bundle up in the layers! Note! When you are in the area, stop in to the Snowbirds clubhouse, Saturdays thru Jan & Feb! Every Saturday 10am -4pm. is Open House day at the Club! Everyone’s welcome to stop by to warmup and visit! Please, do me a favor…to keep ALL parts of the trails open for us, STAY ON THE TRAIL! This means YOU! Its not just a given that we get every inch of trail for our fun. We gotta stay on track at all times! By the way, those groomers are out there volunteering their time and energy to us, so if ya see one, get outta their way and give them a thumbs up as they go by! THANKS TONS to Steve from Cincinnati, Stormi, Jeff, and Todd for the emails and pics! I LOVE them! Ride smart, sober, & safe! CYA ON THE TRAILS! Carol
