Here north of Newberry, our gauge shows 9″ of fresh powder, but since it sits in an open field it is hard to tell how much we’ve really had with the amount of blowing wind. It is still snowing – Josh was out on the trails this morning and says they must have been groomed last night and with the fresh powder “they are awesome.”

Trail and Snow Report……..Saturday Afternoon
by Heart Lake Resort on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 3:50pm
The trails have improved today because of the new snow we received which fell pretty hard this morning. More is in the forecast between now and Sunday night. I would rate the overall trail system in this area as mostly fair to good in the places where they are not in the open and protected. The current temp is 26.2 degrees with total cloud coverage. We have people riding here this weekend and they are saying it’s OK. Still could be better though, but what a winter we’ve been having – or lack of one. If you ever need more information weather you’re staying with us or not or even a place to stay, please feel free to give us a call. We are on the trail here at Heart Lake Resort Cottages here in the Gaylord/Grayling area. Thank You. John 989-732-5081 Please feel free to share this with your friends on Facebook.
