Februrary 23, 2015 – Conditions: Good to Excellent

Sure glad that frigid spell is over. This weekend saw plenty of sledders out on the trails enjoying some of the fresh fluffy snow we received Friday night. The trails remain in mostly very good to excellent condition. There are some areas that are rather snirty but it really isn’t too bad considering our winter. The groomers are running their regular routes daily and the trails are in great shape.

There was quite a crowd at the Coyote Crossing/Boon Bonfire Memorial Event for Al Green–long time avid snowmobiler and our Trail Coordinator. We bought a new Dubie drag this year and dedicated it to Al. It was on display at Coyote Crossing yesterday (see picture belew). It was a beautiful day with lots of good stories to share among old friends and new. It was a day Al would have enjoyed.

33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery

Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.

Coyote Crossing Resort – 02/20

It was a LITTLE chilly early this morning!! But it’s getting better — teens today and Saturday should be mid-20’s!
Skiing and snowmobiling should be great this weekend! Trails are in very good condition in Cadillac. Come on up and enjoy the slopes and smooth trails!

If you can stand the cold, you will enjoy your ride!

Trails are in good shape. We just had a couple come in telling us about their good ride from here up to Wolverine, then over west thru Chandler Hills onto Jordan Valley and back to the motel.

It was a sunny day with few riders and good conditions.

The cold was their only complaint.

Hope you’ll have a chance to get up thru the week when the riding is at its best!
