We have snow out there! Measured 8 inches earlier today. We were able to get out on our sleds, enjoying 25 miles. (The Bob and Bob Team enjoyed 115 miles of riding this past Saturday). It is definitely not perfect conditions – how could it be this early in the season and they have not been able to get out to groom yet. More snow is still needed for grooming to begin. The weather forecast is looking good for that to happen. Snow Advisory for tonight, more snow in the forecast every day and a system snow possible for the weekend. Bring it on!
Its easy to forget how much fun snowmobiling is – UNTIL you jump on that sled and ride through the white virgin fluffy stuff. AWESOME. It sure does clear your head and improve your spirits.
There were several rutty spots that almost swallowed us or had us thinking we were going to rolling right on over. Luckily both of us were able to manuever thru without any mishaps.
We will let you know as soon as the grooming starts. There is snow enough to ride if you just want to get and enjoy it. We do have rooms available and remember we start you off each morning with a hot breakfast. Here is the Gogebic Range Trail Authority report: Groomers are out for the first time this season. Trails 2&8 are groomed with early season riding. Expect rocks and wet areas. Trail 11N is closed due to wet conditions, swamps are not frozen. Trail 160 is also closed because of wet areas and WI season is not open as of yet.

Lake Gogebic Area groomers are out and reporting early riding conditions. Expect wet areas.

Watersmeet area groomers are still waiting to get more snow. They will be out as soon as they recieve the snow.
