Cadillac Area Trail Report – 01/28

Friday, January 28, 2011
Snow Accumulation: 12 inches*

There is plenty of snow on the trails and in the woods. The Caberfae area has a base of 6 inches, the Pine River Area a base of 5 inches and the Hobart area (north end of the White Pine Trail–2 inches). All three groomers have been running two routes daily to keep the corners cut down and the trails smooth. As of this morning there is very little snirt. That may change as the weekend and heavy sled trafffic stirs some up. There is some snow in for forecast for us. We’re hoping we get it as we have had very little fresh snow lately. Just a little dusting each day. The snow at the snow gauge is compacting. It certainly isn’t melting.
