Benzie Manistee Snowbirds – Jan. 3
First groom of the year.

Benzie-Manistee Snowmobile Club – 01/03

Steve Kennedy groomed the trail from Kaleva to Thompsonville. He met 9 snowmobiles along the way including the Taylor’s of Kaleva who were out for a late afternoon ride to Beulah. Conditions are sparse and we are ready for more snow.

Benzie Visitor Bureau – 01/03

HAPPY NEW YEAR! FINALLY we got some snow! We were under a blizzard warning for two days but certainly saw no blizzard here. We got anywhere from 2-6′ in our area but some places north near TC got the foot forecast! We were out Monday between Beulah and Thompsonville and it was not too bad for the first snow, it was certainly rideable! White and pretty out there! If we had gotten a bit more the groomers were gonna go out, but now today its getting up there in temperature again, and tomorrow and Friday supposed to be up around 40, and 30’s after that. At least below freezing at night. So, this may not hold on. Not much snow in the next days forecasts either but there’s talk of another ‘storm’ the end of next week, so will have to wait and see. I’ll let you know when I know! C’mon winter, lets get going! Be smart, be safe, & I’ll CYA on the trails! Carol B

Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 01/03

Good News! We have snow, and Gaylord is grooming! We have between 8 to 11 inches of new snow from the storm Sun/Mon. They did their first run of grooming last night, and we just saw the groomer go by right now.
We had a group of riders just return from a ride to Starvation Lake. They reported a good ride. A few bumps but overall good riding. Jordan River has also been grooming.
Its finally here and everyone is eager to get out and enjoy the snow.
We look forward to seeing you soon. We are located directly on trail 7. Enjoy being able to park your snowmobile outside your room, and being on the trail within a minute after getting on your sled. Give us a call to make your reservation 989-732-2703 or 989-732-4914.
