Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 02/26

The week is starting out quietly. Very few riders seen on the trails yesterday. Our guests enjoyed a great ride up to the bridge yesterday. They report the ride was excellent on all trails. There was only a short area where the wind has blown snow off the trail. The area thru Alanson was also poor – which is pretty much normal since they don’t make any effort to leave snow along the road for riders.

We reached 35 yesterday, but there was little snow loss. This is the ‘slowest’ week we’ve had in awhile. Which makes it the perfect time to come up and have the opportunity to ride with little traffic to interfere with trail conditions.

Give us a call at 989-732-2703 to make your reservation. Enjoy a hot breakfast before heading out in the morning. We are located directly on trail 7. You can’t get any closer to the trail. We are booked for this upcoming first weekend in March. Plenty of rooms thru the week are available.

Indian River Trail Report – 02/26

It looks like today is another wonderful day to adventure out on the trails. The woods were groomed yesterday afternoon and the old railroad grade was groomed last night. The relatively warmer temperatures have caused the snow to be heavy and packy. There is plenty of it, too, with more fresh stuff due to arrive in our area later tonight. If you have the opportunity to ride today you should go for it. Carpe Diem!
