Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/28

The Polar Vortex is our Friend. I had a shirt here in Sledheads a few years ago and its about time to break it out again. Its about ten on Monday morning and not much new snow overnight but they are still saying ten to 15 inches yet today and its been coming down the past hour or so. I heard a sled out there but the snow is coming down so hard riding will be tough at this time.

There were 2 trailers each at both days inn and Ramada this morning so most everyone went home. You can always tell when I 75 is closed and it happened twice yesterday as that’s the only time there is a traffic jam in Frederic. Trucks, cars and trailers backed up as far as you can see. I am going to be busy plowing most of the day.

I have a voice mail from the mountain man from a week or so ago when he called me at 4 a.m. and said he was doing the snow dance, really quite entertaining, I am going to put it into a short video this week for your enjoyment just to show you the snow dance really works.

Pic of the shop below I just took outside a minute ago. Other pics are my brother and he stopped by yesterday and of the rig Devon was in as they cruised by yesterday afternoon. Quite the sled hauler. Thanks for checking in and I need to get to moving some snow. Gonna plow out my park n ride out back and remember you can park back there and parking is by donation just to help for plowing and taxes…….Please Ride Safely and ride right. Thanks for checking in. Pete

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 01/28

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western & Southern UP Snow Reports –

I ran the Bill Nichols trail from Twin Lakes to Toivola and back last night. Plus the 109 and everything looked perfect when we we’re done. With no traffic and cold temps it should have set up real good.
