Newberry Trail Report – 02/09
The trails are very good in the majority of the area. Due to the warm temps groom as far as intended last night. We groomed North to trail 431, trail 45 to the falls and south to Epoufette last night. We now have all 3 groomers working! Tonight we are planning to groom trail 45, south to cut river, possibly trout lake and north to holland lake. There is still some logging going on so please ride with caution and care! The details are below for specific trail grooming. It is cooler this morning and we are expecting snow today, the trails are holding up very well. In other news we are raffling off a a 2023 Polaris Sportsman 450 Donated by Renze Power Sports. Tickets: $100.00 each Trail 9: We groomed north to trail 431 last night. Trail 498: Groomed yesterday. Very Good. Trail 45: Groomed last night. Very good The gate is open to the Falls. There is logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There is also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions are being plowed and could be bumpy or rutted. Very Good in spots Trial 9/2: Groomed to Epoufette last night. Conditions being reported as very good. Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago......
No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!!
The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape.
