SAULT STE. MARIE UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association – 02/07 Good evening! It’s too warm to groom so we’re doing what we can with the down time. The Pisten Bully that is normally in Raco and Bay Mills/Brimley area is in for some minor repairs, and the ‘08 Tucker went back to her home in Kinross today after some much needed repairs as well. We worked on maps tonight to get them ready to distribute to area businesses thoughout the week. We will also get them into our map boxes on the trails once we can get back out to groom. Big thank you to our map advertisers for their support! Please be sure to support those who support us while you’re in the area! Tomorrow is supposed to hit 40 with partial sunshine. Yuck. Temps cool off slightly on Thurday with the possibility of some snow. We will have to be strategic with our grooming so that we don’t ball up the snow under the drags when it’s too warm. It might be a little bumpy for a couple of days while we wait for this little warm up to pass. I don’t see it having any major impact on the trails. Also a reminder that you can subscribe to our trail system on Groomer Tracker to see where our groomers have been most recently. It’s a great resource, especially when we are in a holding pattern. Subscribers will always know when we’re out, many times before I do! The club gets half of the minimal $9.99 subscribtion fee so it’s a win-win. Thanks to all who support us in any way that you can!
