FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/31 It’s a sunny and cold 7 degrees on tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Frederic. I took a picture of tracks in the drive and it looks like 3 to 4 inches of fluff…..I like it but was hoping for more to come today. I am going to head out for a ride about 11 and meet up with a friend and go see what we can find in the snow. Still predictions of a bit more snow this week along with the nice cold but supposed to got into 20s towards the weekend. My phone wont probably last long on the ride because of the cold but if I can I will post a viideo of wherever we end up. For those of you that have read this for a long time you will remember my side kick beagle that was always here with me. She has been gone a long time but the pic below was a rental beagle from yesterday and she didnt waste anytime digging into my beard as I had a little coney sauce in there and the beagle nose went right for it……. Cold temperatures filter in to northern Michigan behind the major winter storm. Consequently, for those without power, dangerously cold temperatures are expected this afternoon through Tuesday night. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskey 
They report that tree damage has led to ~87% of the county's residents losing power as of this morning (3/16). One webcam that was operational on the east side of the lake displays ice-encrusted trees along the shoreline.
