Munising Area Trail Report – 01/27
TRAIL REPORT, Friday, January 27, 2023 8:00 a.m. A LITTLE FRESH SNOW! Overall Trails are in Good condition. With some fresh snowfall the trails were setting good passing the boot test with grooming last night. The Deere did go down yesterday North of Shingleton with a structural drive failure on the track system. The team limped it home using a car hood under the damaged track system. It’s in the barn for repair and will hopefully be back out soon. We still have hazardous water holes on Trail 418 so ride and cross with extreme caution (Map in images showing locations). Signs now mark both locations. Keep a close eye on conditions as you ride and stay right. Stay tuned for updates! Blizzard Warnings have moved South to include Leelanau, Emmet, Cheboygan, Southeastn Chippewa, Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc, Beaver Island. Ice Storm Warnings have moved South to include Wexford, Missaukee, Oscoda, Alcona and Alpena Counties. Winter Weather Advisories now include Clare, Osceola Counties.
The warm line is farther South keeping higher totals North. Winds continue to pick up along with the snow tonight.
