Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/22
January 22, 2023 24 degrees this morning and cloudy. No new snow in the last couple of days and I don`t see much coming in the forecast for the next few days either….bummer…..we could use some for sure. I`m heading out the door to go grooming so here`s a quick update….. Groomer Mike C. ran the Pine Stump trail #8 yesterday and called it good. There still is a few thin spots but its looking better every day. He`s gonna run it again today. Groomer Mike H. ran the Point trails #452 & #453 yesterday also and said the same. We are gonna hit those trails again today. Groomer Kevin is gonna run the Falls trail #45 today also. So……there ya have it. We are busting our butts to get all trails in great shape….just for you! Sure could use some more snow tho so do your best snow dances! Remember……Ride Right…..Ride Safe, so you can come back and do it all over again!!!!! Just a couple weeks ago it was lake effect snow every single day. Today, a light band of 1-3" near Munising is all we will need to write home about. We even tossed in some humor for those not in a designated snowfall zone. 24 degrees this morning and cloudy. We must have had that freezing fog again earlier cause everything is pure white outside....really cool looking. We have survived the last couple days of warmer weather really well, it helps when it gets into the low 20`s at night. It looks like a couple more days above freezing and then chill back out to "normal", with a little snow here an there.
Every trail was groomed yesterday and all operators said they are in great shape. Our entire system will get it again today and then Monday`s are our "maintance day". This is where we go thru all 3 machines with a fine tooth comb and grease underneath zerts and just check everything out. Bout all I got to report....COME ON U.P. before its too late!!!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! 15 degrees this morning and a freezing fog out der. Everything is all white.....kinda pretty. Now that the weather has changed, temps up and down, I will try to put out a report everyday. I hit 42 here at my place yesterday. Here`s what went on yesterday.....
Groomer Patrick hit the Point trails #452 & #453 and called them good. He said the snow got pretty soft on him but all is good.
Groomer Glenn ran the Falls trail #45 and called that good too. Didn`t break thru any ice yet.
Groomer Dave ran trail #8 south and said the same. Our infamous swamp is still solid!
Groomer Keith ran the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 and called that good.
All trails will get run today too.

It was 9 degrees this morning when I got up at 0630, it is now 22 at 0800 and cloudy....weird weather! It is supposed to get up into the low 30`s today and drop into the low teens at night. "They" are watching for a "big storm" coming in for early next week but temps into the 30`s....weird weather. Nuff on that....lets get to the trails....
All trails were run yesterday and they are all in great shape. We will run almost around the clock all weekend to keep them that way for you. If the warmer days start to break up the ice in the low lands I`ll be sure to let ya`ll know, but for now we are in GREAT SHAPE!!!! Bout all I got to report.
