LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 01/16 We were able to get out early this morning and got 102 packed in tight before the rain and warmer temps. Conditions aren’t favorable but we’ll survive with cooler temps Wednesday into Thursday with a chance of snow. We will be keeping groomers off the trails until conditions allow us to resume regular day to day… ( paw print was on my way back down on the freshly groomed side. Big kitty!!) Blizzard Warnings have moved South to include Leelanau, Emmet, Cheboygan, Southeastn Chippewa, Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc, Beaver Island. Ice Storm Warnings have moved South to include Wexford, Missaukee, Oscoda, Alcona and Alpena Counties. Winter Weather Advisories now include Clare, Osceola Counties.
The warm line is farther South keeping higher totals North. Winds continue to pick up along with the snow tonight.
