LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 01/15 Bad news from our Marenisco area grooming section, our groomer is down for an extended period due to a major mechanical failure so please use caution on the trails in that area as we expect them to deteriorate with the holiday traffic. Also, there are isolated spots on trails 1, 100, and 13 where water is breaking through and collapsing snow bridges and probably will get worse with the warm weather coming also. Wish we had better news!! Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.

There are logging operations happening about two miles west of Kenton, use caution.
We are grooming our regular schedule, every day.
The trails are excellent.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup
