IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 01/13 All trails are being groomed regularly. Traffic is very high and so are temps, expect bumpy afternoons. Get out early. Trails remain in good to very good condition. Trails will be soft around towns. Stop sign enforcement, loud exhaust enforcement, speed enforcement all occurring this weekend. Road route speed limits are the same as vehicles (don’t ever pass a car!). Please respect our neighbors and don’t drive like hell through our little slice of heaven. Ryan Christian did 11s last night and trail 8 the night before. You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! Groomer Gary is out grooming the west run which is trail 2 and 13s. Groomer Jeff is grooming trail 3 Land o Lakes to Bonds Falls and trail 2 east. Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
