Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/06
January 6, 2023 27 degrees this morning and cloudy. I`m afraid I don`t have much for good news so sit back and pout with me about the weather. "They" are calling for temps to warm up to around mid 30`s for the next week and no snow….🙁. Here`s how it went yesterday on trail #45 to da Falls and the plans for the next couple days….. Now today, groomers Dave M. and Kevin are gonna take 2 machines without drags and head south of the river mouth and finish setting that section. Tomorrow, groomers Mike C. and Mike H. are gonna each take a machine with drags and hit the Pine Stump trail #8 and the Point trails #452 & #453. These are the only trails that aren`t under water. We are doing all we can with what we got so hang in there, real winter will come, I hope. FIRST OFF…..the gates remain closed on #45……don`t even think about going around them!!!! I talked to one of the guys who went yesterday and he said its the worst he`s ever seen as far as water, and he`s been doing this for years. They barely made it thru and even had to go around a couple of holes cause they were so deep! This trail is not gonna open for awhile. 🙁Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago......
No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!!
The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape.
Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!!

9 degrees this morning and snowing. I picked up 5-6" of fresh snow on my deck from last night and it looks like its supposed to snow for the next couple of days too!!!
Our entire system was groomed yesterday and there`s only one way to describe it......EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, those of you who follow me know I don`t use that word very often, but I ain`t kiddin, it doesn`t get any better than this. The swamp south of town, the Falls trail, ALL of our low land trails are better than I`ve seen in a long time!!!!!
If you don`t have plans on gettin U.P. here.....make `em. It won`t last forever.
