Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 12/30
SAULT STE. MARIE UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association – 12/30 Good morning! As expected, we lost some snow last night for sure. We didn’t get a lot of rain so that’s good. Temps are supposedly at their highest of the day right now, and are supposed to gradually fall all day, getting back below freezing tonight. We obviously will not have groomers out while it is this warm. Normally, when we’re not running groomers, I’d head out on my sled to scout trails for you guys after work but my sled is down. Please- anyone out riding, comment on this post with what you’re seeing and where. We know that anything south (49 toward Kinross, 472 and 480) are in rough shape due to water holes and deep drifts so please use extreme caution there! We also continue to warn about the large washout on the Bay Mills Connector trail. At this time, it’s best to use the shoulder to go around it. Thanks all! Appreciate your patience as always while we work through early season conditions and Mother Nature being wacky. Think cold, then more snow!🥶❄️🥶 <> <> Sault Ste.
