IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 12/29 Please be careful out riding. The wet heavy snow on trees mixed with (very) light freezing rain is bringing down more trees. This is trail 2 to Marenisco. Groomers have beat back the bumps tonight across our main corridors. TRAILS WILL BE BUMPY EARLY AFTERNOON AND THRU THE EVENING, GET OUT EARLY IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE WHAT THE BUSIEST WEEK OF RIDING DOES TO THE TRAILS. Thank you U.P. Blizzard Warnings have moved South to include Leelanau, Emmet, Cheboygan, Southeastn Chippewa, Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc, Beaver Island. Ice Storm Warnings have moved South to include Wexford, Missaukee, Oscoda, Alcona and Alpena Counties. Winter Weather Advisories now include Clare, Osceola Counties.
The warm line is farther South keeping higher totals North. Winds continue to pick up along with the snow tonight.
