KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 12/27 Yesterday and Last Night we sent out grooming “teams,” a Pisten Bully leading without a drag each followed by a New Holland tractor with a drag. The team has been hard at work and by tomorrow (Wednesday) mid day we plan to have our entire trail system open with the exception of Trail 122 and the 134 spur to High Rock. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through opening things up from this storm! Enjoy this view from above as we moved down Trail 3 from Hancock to South Range. <> FORTY NINE inches of snow officially fell in the Keweenaw since this last storm started on Saturday the 17th until Christmas Day! We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.

Looks like Saturday is going to be the nicest day in the past 2 weeks, 20° and partly cloudy. So if you're coming up this weekend the trails are in very good shape and warmer temps.
