MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 12/26
The good, the bad, and the ugly…. The good is our operator is home safe and the tractor is too. The bad is that we cannot make it out of Chatham yet. That ugly is the trail is temporarily unpassable for the groomer. Stuck twice in 1/4 of a mile. Thank you to Crossroads Truck repair and Mark Whitmarsh for the tugs today! Looking forward, we are going to clean up east of Chatham tomorrow. We will be waiting until at least Wednesday if not Thursday for Chatham going west as the snow needs to settle. We have worse places to get through than we were having issues with today. The best thing some of you adventurous explorers could do is hammer down our trail for the next couple days to help the groomer get through. It isn’t the best report we could muster up, but it is the only report we have. We live to groom another day. We will get through come hell or high snow!

TRAIL REPORT, Saturday, December 24, 2022 6:00 p.m.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Lots of snow on the ground as we are two days into getting hammered by this blizzard. High winds are forecast through Christmas Day. Amounts of snow vary but more than knee deep with very large drifts across the area. Our Members that have ventured out on sleds are reporting challenging riding conditions with very deep snow, whiteout conditions and downed trees. Groomers are not currently operating due to the hazardous weather conditions. With Christmas being tomorrow groomers will not start cleaning up the trails until Monday. This is expected to take most of the week getting our entire system cleared and groomed. Please ride with extreme caution until we have trails completed.
