WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan --> Tonight, cloud cover increases ahead of tomorrow’s snowfall. In the mid-morning hours, a low pressure system passes through the northern portions of the Lower Peninsula, with system snow falling over the east half and lake effect snow falling over the west. As temperatures warm to near freezing, the snow will be dense and wet at times, and some parts of the south and east could see some rain mixed in. Winds also pick up tomorrow, which could lead to some isolated power outages. The combination of snow and high winds could also lead to hazardous travel conditions, so be careful if you’re on the roads tomorrow! #miweather #keweenaw#westernup#marquette#munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaTonight, cloud cover increases ahead of tomorrow’s snowfall. SIDNAW - BRUCE CROSSING UPDATE via Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club --> Groomer Report: Trail Condition: Good To Excellent Last Groomed: February 06th, 2023 Conditions vary on our trails, from good in most places to excellent in some. The warmer temps are not helping us at all. Tickets are being issued by Law Enforcement officers for not stopping at STOP signs. We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allows. There may be unforeseen circumstances that prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. There is log hauling just north of Sidnaw for a few miles, trail 8/15. Be cautious of logging trucks and equipment in the area.
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan --> Lake effect snow showers diminish tonight as lows dip into the teens and single digits. Widespread snow is expected Monday night into Tuesday morning with most places picking up around an inch of wet snow, but locations near Lake Michigan may mix with rain. Thursday is the next chance for widespread precipitation, but forecaster confidence is low. #906wx #miweather #keweenaw#westernup#marquette#munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaLake effect snow showers diminish tonight as lows dip into the teens and single digits.
