Munising Area Trail Report – 03/17
TRAIL REPORT March 17, 2022 TRAILS GOING FAST! This warm windy weather is really taking a toll on the trail systems. The main trails are holding on OK right now with some water and icy conditions. Trails in the hills are starting to show bare spots in areas with icy corners and water holes. Snow is definitely going fast with bare trail and flooding in Trail 418 near AuTrain. Trails are choppy with some large rollers on the sections of the main trails. Grooming operations are currently on hold until further notice. Looking at the forecast we may be able to do some grooming Friday and Saturday nights. We will have to watch as we get closer to see if its cold enough and the condition of snow cooperates with grooming. Ride to the Right and Stay Tuned for updates! Road crossings are bare and approaches are getting dirty. Trails are flat and hard, but getting wet, thin, and icy. Temps were 32° at the house this morning, but 41° at work. Get out and ride while you can. There is no guarantee that the trail will hold up at this rate. We will keep watching it and let you know when it gets unrideable and where you can still go.
