No real changes with plenty of snow and trails in overall good condition. Typical end of season conditions with loose sugary snow on top of a hard flat base. The recent sunny days are creating some icy corners and a few water holes so stay alert for changing trail conditions. Near towns roadways are starting to lose their snow cover. This time of year snow melt can change trail conditions quickly with running water so stay alert in the wetland areas of Trail 418 and just east of AuTrain. Our Bully is still down with a blown turbo charger but the good news is the Big Deere will be home and back to work today. Other good news is Snow in the weekend forecast that will hopefully freshen the trails up a bit. Warm weather is forecast for next week so get out and enjoy the trails while there is still some great riding to be had. Ride to the Right and Stay Tuned for updates!
MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 3/9
Donnie made the run tonight. Warm weather is making the snow hard to work with and it isn’t setting up well. Trails wont hold up well unless we get some cold and snow. Weather outlook isn’t looking promising, but we will do what we can as temps allow until we cannot groom anymore. We are definitely in spring grooming conditions. Ride right, ride safe, and get your last rides of the season in while you can!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> The struggle is real! Alger SORVA pulled a day shift assist and smashed down our problem areas with the Bison today, but that didn’t stop us from getting into a bind with too much snow! The tunnel under 41 had a 3’ (settled height) drift down the entire length and it was too much to push through. We are close to the roof of the machine during normal operas we scrape it down close to the bottom. One of our operators threw his personal track loader on a trailer and came to the rescue. Between the track loader and the Deere, we were able to clear the tunnel out and get back to grooming. These guys go to all lengths to keep operations moving forward. #munising#snowphotos...
