Munising Area Trail Report – 03/09
NICE LATE SEASON RIDING CONTINUES! No real changes with plenty of snow with overall trails in good condition. With the weekend rain and no new snow some sections of the trails have a loose layer of snow on top of ice. The recent sunny days are creating some icy corners and a few water holes so stay alert for changing trail conditions. Near towns roadways are starting to lose their snow cover. This time of year snow melt can change trail conditions quickly with running water so stay alert in the wetland areas of Trail 418 and just east of AuTrain. Our Bully is down for a few days again with a blown turbo charger. Big Deere expected back any day now but….. At least we have Snow in the weekend forecast that will hopefully freshen the trails up a bit. Until then Ride to the Right and Stay Tuned for updates! Warm weather is making the snow hard to work with and it isn’t setting up well. Trails wont hold up well unless we get some cold and snow. Weather outlook isn’t looking promising, but we will do what we can as temps allow until we cannot groom anymore. We are definitely in spring grooming conditions.
