KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 2/27
Are you a weekend rider or a midweek rider? Sundays are always a bittersweet day for some riders. It’s time for them to head home after a trip to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula and get back to “reality”. Usually thankful for the time they were able to get away and enjoy some awesome riding, but also excited to get home to family and friends that were not along for the trip. For others, Sunday means arriving into town to enjoy some mid week riding! Mid week riding usually has far less traffic on the trails. Whether you enjoy weekend riding or midweek, the Keweenaw is always a good destination! Jason Dowiasch and his dad are heading home today from a great Father/Son trip to the Keweenaw! Jason and his dad arrived Wednesday the spent the days riding all over the Peninsula and yesterday took a trip down to Bond Falls! They stayed at the Super 8 in Houghton. The Super 8 is a great location for lodging and is a supporter of the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club. Jason shared these photos from their trip and said, “I got my dad up here again, just beautiful up here with all the fresh snow. Been here since Wednesday. We have ridden all over the Peninsula and even made a run down to Bond Falls! We had great food at Eagle Harbor Inn and we are even dining here now for a second time! I want to say that the Groomer Tracker App really comes in handy! A huge thank you to all of the groomer operators!” Thank you for the beautiful photos Jason and taking the time to share parts of your trip with us! We couldn’t agree more about how valuable the Groomer Tracker App is! If other riders would like to have up to the moment griming operation information, please download the Groomer Tracker App and subscribe to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club trail system.
