KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports…. Good morning! It is really going to feel like a heatwave today! We have had some pretty cold days where the “real feel” temperature barely reaches zero degrees! We have also had some amazing days filled with fresh snowfall! 👏❄️ Yesterday started out as a beautiful, sunny day only to turn back to near white out conditions in areas while riding all over Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! This morning the forecast was 2-4 by Saturday night. Now it says maybe an inch over night. Right now I’m at 11" in toivola and it’s still snowing pretty heavy. A clipper will spread a mix of rain, snow, and freezing rain across the area this morning, changing to all rain from west to east as temperatures climb above freezing in the afternoon, reaching as high as the mid 50s in the west. A cold front then drops across the U.P. and brings another round of mixed precip tonight, changing to all snow towards Sunday morning. Generally expect minimal snow amounts across most of the U.P., but some spots in the Keweenaw and the east could pick up 1-3” through Sunday morning.
