NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> 😭 Last Trip 😪 9:43PM Trail 9 Yuk! Second stop sign out, pretty ugly. People were glad to see us from the git go, I get it! Having to dig pretty deep with the blade in the corners followed by an aggressive drag, so heads up till we get back for any curbs I leave behind, still over 9ft wide a pass so you should be able to squeak through 😉 Othe than that, way cool sunset! Not too much traffic, all pulled over 🥰 It's cleaning up very nice. I'll keep you posted. 11:18pm Just finished Wolf Inn, North Store, Trails End Lodging, moved alot of snow down in the corners, lots, still digging deep. Mostly ribbony, leveled off some intersections, enjoying my ride 😁 Just turned north, Pine Stump bound, keep you posted. 7:24am Back down to the McMillan Leg. After I left Windy Corners I never saw another sled, still haven't 😊 turning out pretty well, weird snow, thawed, froze, rinse, repeat it seems, kinda like artificial. Anyway removed the ugly both sides, a few Corners could still use another lap, but they'll be fine. #newberry #snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

Both Grand Marais and Seney have been through recently. Have to use the blade to knock the snot outta most of it, turning out pretty good so far, no change on our Crack 😊 Headed to Pine Stump, then south. Keep you posted. 5:44am Back to Windy Corners intersection. Had to dig pretty deep in quite a few Corners, busts up the chunky snow, again, still broken suger cube stuff, froze and thawed several times now, dont believe it will set up well and a porous flat surface. Blending it all together on the way back. #newberry #snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Good morning everyone. Michigan is going to showcase all seasons for today, March 26th, 2026. ... #miweather #keweenaw#westernup#marquette#munising #seney #newberry #soo #gaylord#cadillac#benzie#traversecity#petoskeyGood morning everyone. Michigan is going to showcase all seasons for today, March 26th, 2026. If you're heading north of M-55, a wintry mix will greet you. Snow totals of an inch, perhaps more will be possible, and a snow map will be out in a bit to showcase totals on a statewide basis. Meanwhile, summer is here temporarily as showers and storms move in by late afternoon south of Grand Rapids and Flint. High temperatures will be in the 60s, and even low-70s, especially south of I-94. More warmth means more fuel for storms though, so on a day like today, you should be rooting against warmer high temperatures to avoid severe weather. Speaking of temperatures, just an insane gradient from north to south. High temperatures in the low-20s for the Keweenaw Peninsula, while areas just south of the Michigan state line jump to near 80°F. Precipitation will start early up north, while southern Michigan doesn't start seeing shower activity until afternoon. More details to come in a bit on our severe weather, but the peak timing along and south of I-94 for severe weather will be after 3 pm EDT. Main severe weather hazard today will be very large hail, so it's probably a good idea to protect your valuables today if you're in the southern two rows of counties, just out of an abundance of caution. Bare with us today, it's a lot of information, but we've got you covered from beginning to end.
If you're new to Michigan Storm Chasers, follow us on Facebook, YouTube, X, or Twitch TV, for live severe weather coverage once the first warning is issued in the state.
