Another deadsville morning in Frederic, about 25 degrees with a misty drizzle in the air. Sled traffic on sunday was slow around Frederic and it used to be that MLK day would be a busy day but I dont see it coming at all today as it is 11:30 this morning. Havent seen or heard a sled or trailer around town. So I will just keep this short and sweet and lets see what this upcoming week will bring us.
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan - Rain is expected to transition to snow this morning, most widespread/steadiest across eastern upper and northwest lower Michigan. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan - Active weather continues through Friday. Primarily freezing rain this morning before precipitation turns over to all rain from southwest to northeast across northern Michigan during the day. Icing may continue across parts of the eastern UP into tonight. Gusty southeast winds, when combined with icing, could easily cause some sporadic power outages. Precipitation is expected to transition to snow on Thursday. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan - High pressure will clear out the lake effect snow showers this morning, and produce mostly sunny skies by the late afternoon. Mostly clear and cold tonight. Tuesday, a new system moves into the Upper Great Lakes, increasing clouds during the day, and bringing snow in the evening, and then changing to freezing rain overnight.
