Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/28
Close to toast is my assesment of the trails. Sunny and 34 in Frederic this morning. Trail crossings looked not so good on the way here this morning. Today is the last day of February, Only had one group of sleds ride into here yesterday and their pics are below here. Hoping there will be some riders stopping in on their way back from the U.P. today for a pit stop..Only 2 miles off exit 264.
Last year I had a few sales the first few days of March and its looking like it might be the same this year. We never even had a March storm last year, maybe this year we will get that. The trouble with that is riders from downstate cant get here in time to enjoy a storm like that as it only lasts a day or two……Like the song says we just have to be “ridin the storm out”……

For northern lower, areas of drizzle will transition to a band of rain showers later tonight, perhaps ending as some snow showers / flurries. CADILLAC AREA UPDATE vi Coyote Crossing Resort >> About half of our system is passible for sleds at this time, but many obstacles and dangerous sections remain. Fortunately, the sledding season is wrapping up in this area, since we're nearing the end of March. Not just warm upcoming temps are working against us, but the damage to the trail system from this last storm is more than this volunteer group can handle. #cadillac#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less
