KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 02/26 UPDATE: A special weather statement was just issued for the area… 4-8 possible on Sunday…I know, I know…. we will believe it when we see it…. but it might be better than nothing…. or wet, slushy…. might not 🤷♀️. Unfortunately it is currently 43 degrees in Houghton 😩. Could someone please turn down the heat! “Most of trail 132, 135, 134 and 3 from Phoenix north where in great shape as of noon today. I passed multiple groomers. High temps and high traffic is starting to take a toll on the trails already though. Anyone on top of Brockway Mountain today hold on tight and watch for drifts, wind is fierce. Watch for the sled dogs on the trails this weekend and give them plenty of space when passing. The weather has been pretty crazy the past week and a half. Hopefully it will settle down and stay cold for the month of March. Looks like another busy weekend with the hill climbs in South Range. Plus the dog sled races in the Keweenaw.
