Paradise Area Trail Report – 02/26

19 degrees this morning under a clear blue sky. We had a light snow most of the day yesterday and it sure made everything all pretty and white again. The forecast for the forseeable future sure doesn`t look good for snowmobiling though. "They" are saying above average temps for March. This really sucks. We already have had a short season cause of the lack of snow, but nuttin we can do about the weather…..right? Here`s whats been going on the last couple of days…..

Sorry for no report yesterday but my router quit working and I couldn`t get online. By the time I got it fixed I had an appointment with a groomer. I ran the South trail #8 and will call it very good. The fresh snow turned the ugly brown color into a nice white. The swamp south of town even looked nice.
Mike H. ran the Point trails #452 and #453 and called them very good also, this is after some moron ran the entire trail in his pick-up truck. It was an older red Chevy with Ohio plates. He tore it up pretty good but Mike H. got `er all fixed up. He wanted to call them excellent but I just can`t do it cause there are still a few thin spots and I`m real persnickety when it comes to that word for the trails.

Gerald ran the Falls trail #45 and called that very good also.
Zach ran the Pine Stump trail #8 the day before. He`s not very good about lettin me know how things went (I gotta talk to him) but I know it is in good shape also. It is gonna be run again today. We are gonna run full speed for the weekend and then see what the weather brings. Lets hope the weather guessers are wrong but I have the feeling we are about done….bummer. Keep checking back and I`ll let ya know.

Groomer Chris

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> I know you're all sleeping, but we're out here doing cool things for all of you. 😊
So ya, took off at 6 all cognetoie thinking I'd just focus and pay attention to the task at hand tonight but see we've been spotted, evidence from several places were out here, could be the lights, it is orange, dunno but it didn't work! 😂
Anyway, 4th season playing with one of these and I can tell you it's been a perfect storm 😁 of continuous snow, temps, and all of you working with us to leave the snow on the corners for us to squish, ( See how wide and Flat they're building up!!) I just turned south at Wolf Inn, if we get this 7" Carl Bonac says "anything close to the Soo" , that's us right? 😉 we could used it but is pretty awesome right now, no complaints here! Actually belive this keeps up, we will make the cover of Better Cabins & Trails this year 😎
Hope you get outta bed and come see what we did for you!
