While much of the UP picks up an inch or less of snow, higher totals up to 1-3in will be possible over the far eastern UP. A cold front then drops across the U.P. and brings another round of mixed precip tonight, changing to all snow towards Sunday morning. Generally expect minimal snow amounts across most of the U.P., but some spots in the Keweenaw and the east could pick up 1-3” through Sunday morning. Our area picked up 8-12” over the past 48 hours. Daytime highs are in the high 30s but lows at night are ideal for grooming. All of our trails are holding up very well. It will be a busy weekend but we are out every day, even twice a day to groom.
All trails are reported to be in very good to excellent condition.
Unfortunately, groomer #9 is down out of the Kinross area. We pulled a groomer from the Soo barn to help with this area until parts arrive.

Wow! I am so pleasantly surprised how well the trails held up today!! Sugar Island Chris DID groom 8 this morning from the Soo to Brimley.
For those that have been asking, the bay in Brimley is starting to show some slushy spots.
While I wish I was hopping in the groomer, it’s just too warm and they are pretty darn good anyway!
Shout out to Mackinac County Snowmobile Association , Les Cheneaux Snowmobile Club & Grooming Report, and the Chippewa Snowchasers for their great trails today too!

Good morning all!
Unfortunately, it stayed too warm overnight for us to send groomers out.
We are supposed to get 4-6” of snow beginning later this morning, and temps are supposed to drop late tonight, so we’ll get back out as soon as we can!
I rode last night and trails were holding up beautifully. They’ll get a little beat up today with Saturday traffic. I’ll be out riding today to check things out before I hop in the groomer tonight.

Hello again! Before the new snow overnight, Bryan was out on the city trails yesterday evening getting them into shape ahead of the weekend!
