KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 02/20 Cathy Rowe is out with Husband, Groomer Operator Glenn Rowe smoothing out trails during this busy weekend on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! Cathy shared these photos from the section of trail running along the canal through Houghton. Keweenaw Snowmobile Club is currently grooming ALL trails from Toivola to Copper Harbor with only two machines. Two other machines are awaiting parts for repairs. The Groomer Tracker app is a very valuable app for most riders. For $10 you can see up to the minute information on when each trail was groomed. Blizzard Warnings have moved South to include Leelanau, Emmet, Cheboygan, Southeastn Chippewa, Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc, Beaver Island. Ice Storm Warnings have moved South to include Wexford, Missaukee, Oscoda, Alcona and Alpena Counties. Winter Weather Advisories now include Clare, Osceola Counties.
The warm line is farther South keeping higher totals North. Winds continue to pick up along with the snow tonight.
