KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 02/13
W🥶W! It’s a bit cold! Temps all across the U.P are bitterly cold, we seem to be on the warmer end …. if you can call -12 degrees “warm” With 55 plus inches of snow falling in a week, I’m sure you can imagine the work that has made for Groomer Operators! Here in the Keweenaw they have been trying to keep up with it all, along with trying to get all of the machines up and running. Two of the five machines are still waiting for parts and to be repaired. Trails were for the most part great this past week and that is how many of you other riders have reported them also. Many of you messaged in saying how amazing everything was and wanted to know how to join and further support the club, so I will share that information again for everyone – PLEASE go over to the website and join the club! It’s very easy online and only $25! Please checkout the other opportunities to help support such as the 50/50 raffle snd the GoFundMe set up to build a Groomer Barn! http://www.keweenawsnowmobileclub.com I’m sure that there will be very heavy traffic with this being a three day weekend for many after a week of incredible snowfall…. we all know that can lead to less than perfect trails…. but I can assure you these Groomer Operators will be doing everything they possibly can to “keep up”. I highly recommend using the Groomer Tracker app to help you plan routes each day. For a $10 fee, of which $5 goes directly to the club, you will be able to see up to the minute status of each trail! Wherever you are riding this weekend please stay warm and ride safe!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports >> 10 February 2026 I'm being bombarded with questions about the warm up coming this weekend. So let me explain my honest but might not be accurate trail report Every year we get a warm up for a few days. Mid 30's and low 40's will definitely make it a little sloppy and most likely moguled up by Sunday. My guess is that we will pause grooming during this time and it's going to get rough. By Wednesday night into Thursday the temps will drop and we can possibly resume grooming but it'll take a couple day's to fix the mess. Keep in mind I ride in 40°-50° days most of April and the trails hold up pretty good. ☠️ Stretch Western UP Trail Reports Web Cam video.nest.com/live/4BKmS6XRiT#keweenaw #miweather10 February 2026 I'm being bombarded with questions about the warm up coming this weekend. The warm up won't kill anything for trail riders, everyone has plenty of snow. Now off trail riders.....😩
