HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/06

All of our trails were groomed last night and are in good shape, with the snow we got we were able to fill in 90% of the washouts. Today’s a great day to get out and ride, don’t forget to stop by our local restaurants along the way to warm up and get some great food!! Ride Safe!

HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> Last night we groomed the railroad grade from Alanson to Mackinaw along with the trail behind the airport. The run started off with it snowing & then it turned into freezing rain & then into a down pour as he got north of Carp Lake. We were able to cut a lot of the bumps out but with the rain & warm temps it won’t take long for them to appear again.
Temperature are not looking good for grooming until Sunday night. If something changes & we can get out before then we will!
Only 11 more days left of the season! #harborsprings #petoskey #snowphotosLast night we groomed the railroad grade from Alanson to Mackinaw along with the trail behind the airport. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Morning clouds will clear from north to south later today as a front drops through the region, bringing partly to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Our next round of precip chances returns tonight into Friday morning with a mix of rain and snow. Light freezing rain will be possible overnight across the eastern U.P. and far northern lower, but any glaze of ice should melt Friday morning as temperatures rise above freezing. Additional rain/snow chances move in late Saturday and Sunday. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskeyMorning clouds will clear from north to south later today as a front drops through the region, bringing partly to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> Our groomers went out for round two last night and put in another 9 hours cleaning up the west side of our trail system. The pictures do not do the amount of snow we have justice.
Between Tuesday night & Last night everything has been groomed with the exception of the railroad grade from Pellston to Mackinaw, Trail 705 (Moose Jaw Road), Trail 710 (Spur from Big Pine to Warick Rd), Trail 710 (Spur from the Cross Village Loop to Vorse Rd), & Trail 711 (Chadderdon Road from the Alanson trail turn to Hathaway Road).
We are working on a plan to get the rest of the grade groomed and I can say that we likely will not groom the rest of the sections mentioned remainder of the season. There is only 12 days left so get out & enjoy it!! #harborsprings #petoskey #snowphotos
