Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/25
Once again no new snow. Sunday was very quiet around town and trails are still quite worn but I hit it on the head when I said people were tired of waiting and coming anyways. This weeks outlook doesn not sound promising at all yet so I guess we just have to wait and see. I talked to the snowmobile sheriff yesterday and he said he was on two sled fires this weekend, both ski doo 600s and one was a 2010 and one a 2o11, give or take a year on either one……In keeping with things pics below are from this weekend…..Thanks for checking in and think snow… <> Visit Sledheads of Frederic on Facebook >>>> <> WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Precip will gradually taper through the evening. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
