Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/22
New snow overnight here in Frederic, about 4 inches of lake effect. Grayling only had a little skiff and it was all lake effect. I plowed everything around the shop here this morning. Schools in many areas closed this morning but I am not sure why cause it doesnt seem like there was really.that much snow. Sleds have been in this morning including the guy below by my WTF sign.
I finally gave in yesterday and went for a 30 mile ride from here to my house and back. There were good spots and bad spots in the trails and I hated hitting the dry spots with my carbides but did it anyways.
Finally it felt good to get a ride in. My gut feeling is that most riders are feeling the way I did and are going to say heck with it and show up here this weekend. I will have to tell you on sunday if I was right. So thats all I have to say for today. Pics below are from yesterdays ride. Thanks
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Snow tapers this evening, leaving drizzle and freezing drizzle across eastern upper Michigan, which could lead to a glaze of ice. For northern lower, areas of drizzle will transition to a band of rain showers later tonight, perhaps ending as some snow showers / flurries. Calmer but cooler weather ahead the next couple days before the next batch of light wintry precipitation arrives Tuesday. #miweather #gaylord#cadillac#benzie#traversecity#petoskeySnow tapers this evening, leaving drizzle and freezing drizzle across eastern upper Michigan, which could lead to a glaze of ice.
