I have a dream……its MLK day and I have a dream that maybe we will get snow sometime this winter…… Weather is calling for a little lake effect each day this week, nothing came down last night and that may add up to a little fluff all week and then a predicted system snow next sunday…….I remember a few years ago when we never really got good rideable snow till Jan 28 and thats what its looking like again this year. There was an Indiana crew in here this morning and they said they had some decent riding down by houghton lake this past weekend except for the jeeps and side bys they ran into on the trail. I had a call last night from Minnesota asking how the snow was here as they did not have good conditions there either. So lets hang on to what weve got and just be ready for when and if it does come down. pic below is the only group that stopped by here on sunday. Thanks for checking in. The Swamp has been busy all day and its saturday and that makes me think about Frederic Inn prime rib. Went down to Houghton Lake last night for the second friday night at Tip Up Town. I havent been down there in 30 years or probably more. Once a year the State Police come thru Frederic on the train to catch riders doing rail road trespass which can be as simple as being to close to the tracks so the moral of the story is STAY AWAY FROM THE TRACKS. Usually the train has a MSP sign on it but it did not today but I did see a sheriff car following along on old 27. They have been thru twice this afternoon and it was just 2 engines which never happens any other time. Not to much else to say. Thanks for checking in. Pisten Bully is still down on trail 4/76. NDA ordered Wednesday showed up Saturday afternoon. Crew got out there Sunday but found more damage and parts were ordered today.
If you happen to find this boogie wheel between Alba and trail 76 north of Elmira please notify us, we need to get our hands on it. New part is on order and scheduled to be in tomorrow.
If all goes as planned trails will be back in shape by end of the week.
