Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/15
Not a flake of new snow overnight and there is a misty drizzle in the air. Maybe 1 to 3 coming overnight. I will believe that when I see it. The only positive thing is the weather is showing snow every day for the next week but most of it lake effect. I would pretty much chalk up this MLK weekend as a junk weekend. If you happen to come up anyways stop by here to make sure I am awake. I can feel a boring weekend coming on. Today’s pics are of the places that have tents and outdoor seating if you want to go that route. Everyone has take out too. Maybe we will get a winter surprise but don’t hold your breath. FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling - Is this the end or will we get to ride in March. Its a crunchy 27 degrees this morning in downtown Frederic, I only saw four sleds on thursday, there is still alot of white out there and its pretty hard and flat. Pics below I took out the front door of Sledheads this morning. Some riders will most likely venture out but the tough part about it is enough lube for your slides. Its supposed to get a bit warmer so as that melt kicks in it will give you the lube you need. I doubt if it will be very busy this weekend but there are always those that are ready to try anything. The warmth of yesterday hasn't done us any favors but I have to say that trail crossings that I looked at this morning looked way better than I thought they would. No forecast for new snow or at least not much of it.
