JORDAN VALLEY UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council – 01/12 Sorry that it’s been a little slow around here. Unfortunately hasn’t been much to get excited about yet this year! Guys and gals have been working hard to triple check the equipment and trails just waiting for the snow to come. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Winter is back and now its so windy and blowing out it would be difficult to ride your sled. Snow is about 4 inches so far and its a wet and heavy snow, tough to plow and hard to ride in. We just cant win on this. Winter storm warning till 1 tuesday morning. Pics below do not really show how bad its blowing out there but you get the idea. Gonna go back to plowing. Thankks for checking in. Heavy snow and strong winds gusting to 45-55+ mph are expected to create localized blizzard conditions across open areas at times from mid-morning into early afternoon. Drifting snow may make travel especially difficult on secondary roadways. Power outages will also be possible, especially across areas that experienced icing on Sunday.
