Cloudy skies linger through the day, with highs ranging from the mid 30s in the east and near Lake Superior to mid 40s in the west and south-central U.P. Another weak clipper crosses the lake tonight, bringing a chance for some light snow showers across the north. We are running minimal runs in order to keep the trail smooth and save the snow for the rest of the season. Trail is ice and is grooming out as such. We will keep doing the best we can with what we have to get through the end of the season. LAKE EFFECT SNOW OFF TO A SLOW START
We did get 2 to 5 inches of snowfall over the past 24 hours, more so to the Northeast corner of our trail system. We are seeing some die hard riders out on the trails but conditions are unfavorable, visibly seen kicking up the gravel and dirt in areas. Conditions will be assessed in the morning to determine if some daytime trail prep will be productive in the few harder hit areas of snow. It is still in a waiting game so stay tuned as we keep you up to date with the trail and grooming status.
