IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 12/27 Groomer Eric made his first solo run this morning grooming Ironwood to Bessemer. He said the trail is in good shape. Trail conditions vary and will improve with a Bit of snow and more grooming. We’ve seen lots of riders out and we’re working to get our Tucker back online to get Wakefield and east groomed. It threw a u joint last night. … <> 12/26 Charlie and Victor are out for another 10 hour volunteer day, thank you guys!! Trail 2 pipeline has some minor wet spots that will be worked on today, there are routes around it. Stop into Two Fat Guys Hotel to order food and drinks. They’ll deliver it to their hotel while you warm up there. They are big sponsors of our snow and dirt operation and are a small family owned business to seek out and support. Trail 2 to Marenisco was groomed today and so was trail 8. We are currently inspecting trail 160. It is not open yet, we will open it next week for new years weekend. Please keep your speeds to 15MPH on road routes and in town. Please ride with a hand saw and help us move brush off the trails. We are an all volunteer group so we appreciate your efforts!! Trails are thin (poor) in spots but thanks to good temps trails remain fair.
