Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/21

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 3/21

Trails in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula don’t look much like late season riding….. pretty much as good as they get in most areas. The fresh snow received Thursday night and Friday morning really put the icing on the cake!

Getting through Houghton/Hancock is still a bit challenging with the bare pavement areas, but it is being done by many riders staying south of the bridge.

Carry out is still available this weekend at the majority of restaurants and fuel is still available at Vansville Bar and Copper Harbor Fuel Stop.

⛽️Vansville Bar offers trailer parking to stage out of their lot, along with fuel, carryout pop, beer and liquor

⛽️Copper Harbor Fuel Stop offers fuel and has a convenience type store also

If you are out here riding today, enjoy the beautiful day and ride with caution as always.

☠StretchPeak Fall Color Soon!
Week 6 U.P. Fall Color Report is now on funintheup.com
Color is set to change quickly this year, it could be two weeks and we might start hitting 75%-peak. In some areas with these temps dropping into the 40s and daytime temps in the 50s and low 60s peak could very well hit in some of the interior portions and western UP . If you are waiting till 2nd week of October to visit the UP for colors you'll probably miss out on the best color and be left with a sad face, but you'll still be in the UP so it should be a happy face. -- Yooper Steve with your weekly UP Fall Color Report

Is this for snowmobiling also or just atv/utv

So if we want to ride copper harbor do we have to trailer there? Or are there other routes we can take from Houghton?

For sleds it wouldn't be that bad, there more trails up there plus ride the lake up to Gay, MI too, fun ride too. Miss the u.p.

HAPPY 906 DAY!!!! Did you know - 906 is one of the largest area codes by land, yet it is one of the smallest area codes in terms of population. Lake Superior surrounds most of the UP and is the world's largest body of fresh water. The UP is about 29 percent of Michigan's land mass, yet it only holds 3 percent of the state's population. It is also perfect to come and visit any time of the year!!!! If you are into adventures or just relaxing Da Yoop is perfect just for that! If you haven’t experienced yet- give a call 906-288-3404!! Www.kruppsresortmi.com There are soooo many places to go and see and never be disappointed! #906 #uppermichigan #adventures #winterwonderland #spring #summervibes #fall #memoriesmade #funfacts #lakesuperiormagazine ...
