Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/03

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western & Southern UP Trail Reports – 3/3

So here is the ugly truth. For the most part the trails are holding up pretty good. At least 2 foot of hard base covered by a couple inches of sugar. I ran the Keweenaw the past 2 days and let the pictures do the talking. I personally will not be crossing into Hancock on a sled until we get more snow.

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 3/3

Trails are in good condition for the most part north of Houghton/Hancock and even more so north of Calumet. Getting in and out of towns is more difficult as roads and parking lots are pretty much bare at this time-snow is in the forecast though and it was snowing earlier north.

How are trails in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula?!? The question everyone has been asking after Sunday’s warm up of 48 degrees….. well Jim Wierenga just sent us this video with his commentary of “…….. trails are flaaaaat as can be – perfectly groomed – everywhere” take a watch and listen! Keep the snow dances up so we can get the parking lots and roads to have a bit of snow cover on them too!

If you are out riding we would love to see your photos and videos and any condition reports you have!

Huge thank you to the entire Groomer Operator/Trail Boss teams!
