Munising Area Trail Report – 02/29

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 2/29

TRAIL REPORT – Saturday, 02/29/2020
Excellent Riding Conditions!
Overall trail conditions are very good to excellent with great riding conditions and fresh Lake Effect Snowfall. In general we received 6 to 12 inches of new snow yesterday with more in some areas. Grooming results are coming out excellent. Trails are a little soft but have a great base. As you approach Christmas, Munising and Wetmore Trails are a bit thin and icy. Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore was not groomed last night as the big hill on the Munising side is very icy at the top. Wild ride – groomer slid down backward 50 feet from the top with many unsuccessful attempts. Remember our grooming machines run 24 hours so stay alert. Keep the cold weather snow dancing going, Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
