Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 02/11

Greetings Sledders,

We finally got some much needed replenishing snow on Sunday and it looks like a little more is expected Wed night into Thursday. How much depends on which forecast you are looking at and I keep hearing 2-3" so we will go with that and talk about something else.

I just got back from what we call the tandem grooming run which means we put both tractors on the trail and do a loop from here to Frederic, then on to the Blue Bear, turn around and continue South on trail #79 then we head East and Back to Fay’s.

The only issue I have with all of what I groomed today is the snirty condition of trail #7 between Grayling and Frederic and you all know that prompts me to call that fair. Until we get the dirt snow separator working again that trail will show some snirt. Everything else was good to very good.

The forecast looks good for the week and on into the long weekend. Expect heavy traffic and we will do our best to keep up grooming wise. All of our trails will be groomed once each day and to accomplish this we need to groom some segments during the daytime. Around the next corner or on the backside of a blind hill may be a groomer. Something to think about.

Have a SAFE weekend.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Kids ( How’s that Bob?)
