Update: We have been grooming daily. The weather will be warmer during the week with temperatures im the low to mid thirties later in the week. A little snow is forecasted off and on with and inch here and there. The trails are setting up nice while grooming. They are a little soft here and there where the sun has been hitting during the day, but where the sun is not hitting they are harder. The conditions will good, but the corners will be a little softer and the heavily traveled areas will see a greater impact. We will groom daily/nightly with the exception of Wednesday. We will continue to put our best foot forward to keep things smooth out. They will harden up once the evening sets in with the temperatures at night to dip below freezing nightly. You may of encounter smooth sailing for a while and then got to a part where you thought what the heck happened here. It was not for lack of effort. The details for the trails are detailed below. We Take Pride in Your Ride!!

All the clubs will be grooming so please BEWARE of the groomers on the trails. We Take Pride in Your Ride, but we take just as much concern with your safety. Everyone is here for a fun time, but returning home to your families safely is just as important to us!

All three groomers will be out.

There is a staging area north of town at Silver Creek 3 miles north. This is crucial information especially with the amount of traffic this weekend. If you don’t want to get hemmed up in the parking lot in town. Go north after crossing the tracks and take a left at the Silver Creek ORV sign and go to the dead end. Plenty of room there!

A friendly reminder is slow down and stay to the right especially on the corners. Stay on the trail. Private property owners gives us the privilege to have trails across their property and we do not want to lose it. Normal grooming operations are in full swing.

TASA works mostly with volunteers. We have the best groomers in the U.P. They dedicate long hours and nights away from their families to groom the trails so you can enjoy them safely. Please be cautious as you approach a groomer as there is not much room for them and you so please slow down and once there is room then go around them. It is always appreciated when you can tip your hat to them and thank them for their efforts or give them a wave. Be Safe out there and take time to enjoy nature and the best scenery the U.P has to offer.

The Northstore on Cnty Rd 407 is open from 9am and closes at 11pm 7 days a week. Gas, Snacks and general information. Sled Rentals Available!

The Wolf Inn is open 7 days a week 11am-10pm. Food.

The Pine Stump is open 7 days a week now Mon.-Sun. 11am to 10pm for the kitchen.

Tahquamenon Falls Brewery & Pub is open.
Trail #9/2/473 (Good) (South of Newberry) There is a water hole 3 miles south of M-28 at 4 corners partially frozen, but still a little water moving. We will groomed the South trail last night over to Trout Lake last night and will groom back to Epouffette tonight.
Trail #45 (Good) There is one area of interest. It is from Skyline Road for 3 miles that is plowed due to logging. Please use caution when going through this area. We groomed it last night and will hit it again tonight.
