Newberry Trail Report – 12/27

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association – 12/27

Dec.27, 2019 10:30am Updates below GREEN

UPDATE: The groomers went out yesterday evening and the reports are that the trails are in pretty good condition. It will warm up over the next few days with temperatures hoovering around 35 and a rain snow mix on Sunday. The detailed trail reports are listed below. In saying all that there is still a good snow depth, but it is packed and slick. The trails will be damp and a few bare spots in the corners and heavily traveled areas. We asked that if you see any soft spots or if you personally get through that area before we do please let us know. All reports of areas of interest that could need some attention please let us know and we can focus on them while we are out. We Take Pride in Your Ride!!

All riders have their own opinion of what the trail conditions are like according to what conditions they like to ride in. Most of the riders from this area yesterday and last night said they enjoyed their ride the trails were in pretty good condition all things considered and were flat and fast.

A friendly reminder is slow down and stay to the right especially on the corners. Stay on the trail. Private property owners gives us the privilege to have trails across their property and we do not want to lose it. Normal grooming operations are in full swing.

TASA works mostly with volunteers. We have the best groomers in the U.P. They dedicate long hours and nights away from their families to groom the trails so you can enjoy them safely. Please be cautious as you approach a groomer as there is not much room for them and you so please slow down and once there is room then go around them. It is always appreciated when you can tip your hat to them and thank them for their efforts or give them a wave. Be Safe out there and take time to enjoy nature and the best scenery the U.P has to offer.
