Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/14
It’s cloudy, breezy and 45 at 11 on thursday morning in downtown Frederic. The good part about that is we arent at 50 or 60. It stayed cloudy all day yesterday and while I saw and heard sleds buzzing thru town but none stopped in here, the people that did come in here yesterday were all driving. Its supposed to turn cooler with lake effect snow friday or saturday but I wouldnt expect much. I have had several emails and calls of riders wondering about riding this weekend. Here are my thoughts, will there be riders? yes but you will have to deal with wet spots, large puddles and ice. At least there should be plenty of lubrication. There is no way there is time for things to freeze up again. Be very cautious of icy corners. Snow went down a long ways yesterday and will continue to do so today but we still have alot. The snow along the roads is looking very dirty but maybe that will get hidden by new lake effect if we get it. Pics below I took on my way here this morning. Trail 7 crossing old 27 north of the high school looking both east and west and trail 7 north to gaylord at the north end of frederic and then a pic of the front of the shop here. You can see its a skating rink. Hopefully its not going to get much warmer than the 45 we are still at right now. Thanks for checking in and lets see what the rest of the day brings. Thanks for checking in.
